First, we want to empathize with anyone who has been affected by the coronavirus, and thank all of the essential workers doing their part to keep this country afloat.
We are all currently adjusting to the repercussions brought on by this virus. A majority of us had to make the transition from working at the office to our homes, making it harder for us to connect with our clients and continue to offer support.
Today, we’re going to do our best to offer you some tips that can help you be successful during this time.
TIP 1: Using Social Media
You are probably already familiar with the powerful marketing tool that is Social Media. Social platforms help increase engagement and awareness for so many different kinds of businesses.
Due to the recent quarantine, we are limited on what we can do day to day. As a result, people are taking in so much content and want to see more. Now is the time to advertise. Use this as an opportunity to ramp up your social content to attract new clients and stay relevant.
When posting on social media, keep things light and offer encouragement. Let it be known what your business is doing during this time to offer support and that it is up and running.
Social media is a great way to maintain that connection with your clients, which brings up to our second tip!
TIP 2: Maintaining Contact with Clients
Don’t let working remotely hinder you from staying in touch with your clients. This is a stressful time for everyone, but you can help alleviate some of that stress by giving your customers security.
Send them updates on your business via email campaign, social media or reaching out individually. Offer your customers advice on how they can adapt to do certain things at home. For example, if you’re a fitness gym you can create at-home workout routines.
Whether it’s email, phone or video call, these updates will show your customers how dedicated you are to them, even during these trying times.
TIP 3: Improve Your Business Internally
This is a great opportunity to focus internally and set goals for your business! Use this time to re-strategize a marketing plan & how your business can attract future business.
Going back to our first tip, utilize social media, keep track of the data and see what is working well and what isn’t. You can then apply that data and create a strong social marketing plan.
Beyond social media, consider other marketing tactics like a newsletter or a blog. Already have those? Reflect on those pieces of work and see how you can make them better. Now is the perfect time to try something new and see how it is received. If you don’t have a newsletter or a blog, this is the opportunity to create one!
TIP 4: Supporting One Another
This is the most important tip we’ll cover, be there for your fellow colleagues/staff and support each other during this time. That same dedication you are giving to your customers and to your work, give to your teammates as well.
See how you can help one another and continue to show encouragement!
I hope you found these tips helpful. We must remain positive during this time and remember that this is temporary — we will come out and reach normalcy again.
